So SimpleMy great grandmother died yesterday. And my mother called to tell me. It wasn’t my mother’s mother’s mom, She was my dad’s.So Simple
So with a sort of sick delight My mom told me dad had to take a walk. And I took a deep breath of relief Because when she said, “We got a call—”
I thought it was something worse.
Mom told me to send a card. That would be nice, show that I care. At least it wasn’t “something worse.” That’s not solved as easily as a card.
Imagine if the rest of life was so simple.
